Democrat Aligned Lobbying Organizations Offer to Fund House Democrat Travel Expenses

Salem, NH - Granite Solutions Chairman and State Representative Joe Sweeney (R-Salem) released the following statement after Democrat leaning lobbying organizations publicly confirmed their practice of funding Democrat House Members' travel expenses to the New Hampshire State House for legislative session days:

"I am appalled. Democrat-leaning lobbying organizations have publicly confirmed their practice of funding Democrat House Members' travel expenses for legislative session days at the New Hampshire State House. This revelation raises alarming questions about the potential influence of outside groups on our legislative process and the independence of our elected representatives. By directly financing travel expenses, these organizations undermine the impartiality and integrity of our democratic system, eroding public trust in the decision-making process. It raises the question of how many House Democrats have had travel or other life expenses funded by lobbyist organizations in order to attend session days. We must prioritize the transparency, accountability, and independence of our elected officials. Let us restore faith in our legislature and reaffirm our commitment to serving the people who have entrusted us with their representation."
